Fair Pigs are here.

Our pigs that will be for early to mid August fairs are here. We have a couple of litters of real nice pigs and don’t expect them to last long. As always we sell our pigs for $75 each, even if they are AI pigs. Last year our pigs did really well at the fairs and we are hoping for another good year in 2011. If you want to get your preorder form in to insure you get an early pick you can get it off our website.

It’s starting to feel like spring here at High Point Family Farms. We love spring here at the farm. Although we sell weiner pigs, rabbits, and lambs year round. When we have babies all around spring is comming. The litters of pigs that just farrowed will be our fair pigs for Thurston County Fair. We have a couple of litters and their should be some good market hogs for the fair.

Nine Happy Piglets

Some Happy Piglets

Another one our sows called Maggie farrowed Sunday March 15th. She had 9 pigglets, 2 gilts and 7 barrows. The kids are going to show the gilts at the fair, and we are keeping one for a luau pig at our 4th of july party. The other six have already had deposits put down on them. Which means we are out of weiners again. The next batch is due early May, we have three gilts due to farrow, So we should have 20 to 30 more pigs avalible in early June. If your looking for pigs, contact us to reserve your pigs. DON’T WAIT AND MISS OUT…

We recently have sold the pigs from the two litters born Febuary 14th and 16th. Eight of the pigs went to FFA and 4-H progect pigs. Seven of them will be avalible in the Thurston County Fair Market Sale. And one will be shown as a spring gilt. We are very happy to be involed in the Rainier and Yelm FFA and 4-H programs. And expect great things from all the High Point Family Farms fair pigs. Please go out to the fair and support the kids, the Market Sale is August 1st. Hope to see you there.
